Aftercare for All Treatments
Please follow these instructions to ensure proper healing and color retention. Do not use cotton pads or swabs. Do not expose brows to water for 24 hours after treatment.
When washing your face, keep soap and shampoo away from treatment area. Ensure that the treatment area stays lightly moisturized during the healing period. Do not rub or scratch treatment area, and expose only to clean water.
For One Week: Avoid sun exposure, saunas, excessive sweating, tanning, and makeup application on the treatment area.
For Two Weeks: Avoid swimming and facials.
Here’s what to expect to see:
Immediately after treatment: Treatment area will feel sensitive. Any redness and swelling will subside within a few hours.
Day 1 – 3: Brow will look dark, as if you have brow pencil on it. The color will soften significantly and gradually over the next few weeks.
Day 3 – 5: Brow might begin to itch. If you feel discomfort, gently press on the brow area. Do not pick or scratch.
Day 5 – 7: Pigment will begin to peel, from the outside edges of the brow. Do not pick or pull at the flaking pigment, but allow to fall naturally. Peeling period may take anywhere from several days to over a week.
Day 7 – 10: Pigment stops peeling. Color underneath will appear softer and less visible for a few weeks.
Note that the above are general guidelines. Some specific skin types (e.g. oily skin) may go at a different pace. Please consult your Specialist.
The full healing process takes 6 – 8 weeks. It may appear that most or all of the color has been lost in the first few weeks after treatment, but this is just the pigment oxidizing and your skin naturally healing. The color will fade significantly first before reappearing again. Towards the end of the healing process is when you will see the microbladed brow strokes take their true color. Please be patient, and allow the brow to fully heal before judging the results.
Once the brow has fully healed, we can see what adjustments (if any) need to be made for the Perfecting Session. The Perfecting Session can only be done once the brow has fully healed, to avoid damaging the skin.
To prolong the life of your Bespoke Brows, avoid the following on the brow area: intensive products (e.g. retinol, glycolic acid, facial peels), Prolonged sun exposure, Laser treatments.
Touch-ups (6 months or 12 months) to boost the brow color can also be scheduled, based on your preference.
Only water wash for 2 days. Shampoo can be used 2 days after, however, avoid shampooing and rubbing the treated area for one week. Tattoo will progressively darken from day 1 to when it peels due to scab formation. Tattoo will start to peel around day 4 ro 5. Do not pick at the scabs. After healing is complete, the colour becomes 50-70% lighter and the lines are faded, which is normal and adjusable at the 1st touch-up.
Tattoo will darken gradually over 2-5 days. As part of the healing process, scabs begin to peel off and the colour of eyebrow may differ each and look uneven. After peeling is complete, The colour becomes 50-70% lighter which will be adjusted during the 1st touch-up.
Swelling may occur for 1-3 days especially in the morning. Eye make-up can be applied after 1 week. Ice packs and pink eye drops are helpful if your eyes become red and teary. After peeling is complete the colour becomes 50-70% lighter which will be adjusted during the 1st touch-up.
Avoid spicy and hot food for 1 week and drink through a straw. Consult with your doctor if you experience infection, cold sores or any allergic reactions. 1st touch-up appointment can be scheduled after 6-8 weeks.
Avoid using cleansing brush, tools or scrubs /peeling agent on the treated area.
